Course contents: In the 3-year dual vocational training in the EBA, you will be trained for the later activity in the middle service in almost all areas of the administration. During the training you will get to know various areas of activity, e.g.: in the personnel management, in which you conduct personal records, calculate remuneration, or participate in the personnel collection, deployment and development; in household, cash and accounting, where you are involved in the preparation and execution of budget and economic plans and process payment operations; in the procurement of materials or in the investigation of facts and development of administrative decisions in which you have to apply legislation. The practical vocational training in the EBA is supported by several learning phases in the training center of the Federal Administrative Office (assistant instruction) and block phases in the vocational school (Ludwig-Erhard-Berufskolleg). In addition, inter-governmental seminars and the final examination are carried out in the vocational training centre of the Federal Water and Maritime Administration in Koblenz. The training with double qualification – two qualifications! In the case of interest and corresponding school grades, you will have the opportunity to acquire the general professional qualification during the three-year training. The property of the general university of applied sciences then entitles you to study at all universities of applied sciences in the Federal Republic of Germany. You will also take part in a course in the vocational school in order to obtain double qualification in one day of the week.

Start of training, duration of training and remuneration: Start is expected to be 01.08.2027. The duration of training is 3 years and can be reduced to 2 1⁄2 years with very good performance. The monthly training fee is according to the collective agreement for trainees of the public service (TVAöD) – special part (vocational education law) – currently: Year of training: 1368,26 € Year of training: 1418,20 € Year of training: 1464,02 € Additional services: Annual special payment, asset-effective benefits of EUR 13.29, annual learning allowance of € 50.00 and a final premium of EUR 400.00 at the end of the training period due to the existence of the final examination at the first attempt.
