As an administrator/administrator (m/w/d) of our central R server, you help us to evaluate and publish statistics with R. Join now and make an important contribution to 18 million citizens in NRW! Your area: IT for statistics The “IT for Statistics” division is the central service provider for all internal issues of the Statistics division at IT.NRW. In the “evaluation tools” service unit, we provide, among other things, with “R” a tool for statistics so that statistical data can be evaluated and published. Our team currently consists of an R-developer/administrator and a management force, with further growth being provided in perspective. The cooperation is carried out with the respective specialist departments in the statistics that use R or R-Shiny.

Your main activity: You perform programming, adaptations and new developments of R scripts and R-Shiny applications. You advise colleagues in statistics on data processing with R. You install and operate a central R instance. You perform system administration activities. Your task also includes: You conduct training, information events and consultations. You deal with current trends in data analysis. You create process and application documentation

You bring with them: Graduate degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics or in a degree course with IT reference As an alternative to studies: Completion as an operating professional or many years of relevant professional experience in IT Very good pactic experience in programming with R Basic knowledge in the administration of Linux systems Know-how in data analysis and data processing Knowledge found in the IT foundations Secure German (in Word and Writing) Also desirable are: Experience with R-Shiny or another framework for web applications Good knowledge of English in word and writing Experience with the deployment of containerized applications Your personality: Team spirit, open to dealing with changes Self-initative Structured and solution-oriented operation
