The Max Planck Institute for the Research of Multireligious and Multiethnic Societys in Göttingen is dedicated to the multidisciplinary research of diversity in historical and modern societies, in particular with regard to ethnic and religious processes and dynamics. To support our IT department, we are looking for an motivatedn IT-System Administrator (m/w/d)

Full-time (39 hours/week), remuneration up to E 11 (TVöD Bund)

Server administration: support and administration of our Windows server and Linux server infrastructure. Network administration: planning, configuration and monitoring of network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VPN, VLANs). Active Directory and User Management: Administration of AD Environment, User Accounts and Group Policy. Virtualization: Care and further development of our VMware vSphere environment. IT security: implementation and maintenance of security measures and endpoint security solutions.

You have completed training as a specialist in system integration, a study of computer science or a comparable qualification. You have well-founded knowledge of the administration of Windows server and Linux systems. You have experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Management and Network Administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, Firewall). You possess programming knowledge or Scripting experience, in particular in PowerShell, Python and/or Bash. Experience with virtualization technologies (ideally VMware vSphere) is advantageous. You work independently and in a solution-oriented manner and are ready to work into new technologies. You have good English skills in word and writing.

The body is limited to two years and a period of grace is sought. If the objective and subjective grouping requirements are fulfilled, the grouping up to EG 11 TVöD (Bund) is possible.
