With which vehicle concepts can Mercedes-Benz secure its position as a leading provider of luxury and premium vehicles in the long term? What products do our customers worldwide inspire – and how do markets, technologies and competitors develop? These are exactly the questions that concern us as a team “Portfolio Management” daily. We are part of the product strategy and control sector and shape the long-term orientation of the Mercedes-Benz Cars global vehicle portfolio. To this end, we combine market, customer and competition analyses with strategic, technical and economic considerations to prepare sound decisions for the vehicles of tomorrow. We work on issues with high strategic relevance and support decision-makers to the Executive Board in direction-setting decisions. In the field of tension between strategy, product development, design, marketing and finance, we develop holistic perspectives on the products of the future.
