Planning, implementation and evaluation of innovative blood experiments with test and patient material at the UKD Establishment and further development of in vitro hypercompatibility tests, including platelet function tests and whole blood models (e.g. Chandler-Loop) Processing and high-resolution analysis of blood samples using modern methods such as flow cytometry and ELISA Linking experimental results with clinical patient data for translational evaluation Active cooperation in the development and optimization of innovative hydrogel coatings for vascular implants Participation in preclinical implantation studies in the animal model, including stent preparation and microscopic analyses (fluorescence, SEM) Scientific evaluation, publication and presentation of the results and independent further development of the project incl. Third-party acquisition

Completed doctorate in a scientific or engineering science specialist Interest in biological and biochemical work with human whole blood, in particular for coagulation Experiences in in vitro analysis, microscopy or preclinical models are desirable.
