Nurse / Special Education Nurse as Individual Case Assistance for School Accompaniment - Meerane (m/f/d)

The assistance service of the Diakonie West Saxony supports children and young people with special educational needs or physical, mental or mental impairment. Our school assistants support students at general and vocational schools as well as funding schools to achieve the highest possible educational objectives. They accompany in the course of individual case assistance and promote everyday practical and social skills.

For the Dr. Päßler School in Meerane we are looking for ab immediately a/n Pflegefachkraft |Heilerziehungspfleger(m/w/d)as a single case aid in parttime (32 h/week).

The body shall be suspended until the end of the school year 2027 as part of the granting of individual aid. An extension may take place depending on the approval of the individual case aid.

Your tasks:

You accompany and support a child (7 years) with epilepsy throughout the school day (7:00-15:00). Your support gives safety, orientation and allows the child to participate as actively and self-determined as possible in school life.

Your tasks include:

• attentive observance of the state of health and, if necessary, the appropriate administration of emergency drugs**
• Support for food intake as well as accompaniment and Help for toilet walks
• Developing necessary breakouts due to increased rest and recreational needs and, if necessary, small trips or breaks of movement**
• Motivation and assistance to keep attention on teaching and tasks
• Involvement in the creation of aid plans in cooperation with caregivers, educational professionals and school
• Observation, documentation and presentation of development processes and the implementation of appropriate strategies to achieve the agreed objectives

• Experience in dealing with epilepsy as well as safety in detecting and assessing seizures
• Experience in dealing with challenging situations as well as the ability to act in different situations restful and insensitive

• Reliability, sense of responsibility and attentive observation as well as clear, value-adding and child-friendly communication
