Network Engineer – Cisco Wireless & SDN (m/f/d)

In this exciting role, you are responsible for the operation, development and optimization of our network infrastructures in the areas of LAN, WAN and WLAN with our customers. You actively participate in the introduction and testing of new technologies and help to successfully transfer them to productive plants. In network faults, you analyze the causes and take the troubleshoot to ensure a fast and sustainable solution for our customers. A special focus of your activity is on the configuration, operation and development of Cisco WLAN solutions, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Access Points. In addition, you work with exciting customer projects and gain insights into different network environments and technologies. You have a successfully completed training or study in the IT field, for example as a specialist informatics:in for system integration or in a comparable course of study. You have practical experience in operating and developing complex network infrastructures, ideally with Cisco Systems solutions. You have good knowledge of Datacenter Networking, Campus Switching (e.g. Cisco Catalyst), WLAN or WAN and have ideally gained first experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN). In the area of Cisco Wi-Fi technologies, you will learn well-founded knowledge, especially in the configuration and administration of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Access Points. First experiences with DevOps approaches, automation or infrastructure as code are desirable, for example in the environment of automation tools, APIs or modern network platforms. You work in a structured and self-contained manner, have a quick conception and draw your attention through a high quality and service orientation.
