In order to expand our team, we are looking for a IT system administrator (m/w/d) Interne IT in Leipzig, who, together with our team, supervises the company's IT infrastructure, develops and ensures smooth operation. Your new task:

• Installation, operation, support and further development of IT infrastructure: Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the installation, operation and continuous development of our heterogeneous IT infrastructure with a focus on the backend area, occasionally also in the client area. You ensure the functionality and optimization of the systems. In this case, you enter both local components and cloud services, such as M365 and Azure.
• Conception and administration of physical and virtual servers and clients: You manage and maintain physical and virtual servers (VMware vSphere, HP Storage) and manage clients, including software distribution, updates and troubleshooting.
• Improving existing support processes: You’re questioning existing processes and processes with the aim of increasing efficiency and service quality and supporting them in their optimization.
• Working with IT projects and introducing new systems: You support the design and implementation of various internal IT projects, participate in the introduction of new systems and technologies, and advise our project teams in selecting and implementing suitable IT solutions for specific applications.
• Representation of trainees and dual students: You take on the professional support of trainees and dual students in the first year of teaching and provide basic IT infrastructure with practical tasks.

You bring that with:

• Completed training or completed studies in the field of IT.
• Multi-year professional experience in the administration of IT infrastructures, ideally in the IT system house environment.
• Very good knowledge of representation and administration of physical and virtual servers and clients, in dealing with VMware vSphere and virtual environments and in the administration of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, M365, Azure).
• Practical experience in network technology, firewalls and enpoint security as well as in dealing with Storage systems, Client management solutions and Automatization using scripting (PowerShell).
• Desirable, but not a must, are knowledge of ITIL and ISO27001 as well as the presence of an instructor certificate.
• willingness to work into new technologies and methods and implement them in practice.
• High Team and communication skills, Eigeninitiative, a pronounced analytical and solution-oriented way of thinking and a self-contained, structured and responsible way of working.
• German- (at least C1) and fluent English skills.
