Senior System Engineer

What we need

Operation, development and modernization of our IT infrastructure (Linux & Windows) Administration and development of our network infrastructure (Firewalls, Routing, Switching, VPN) Administration of virtualization and storage systems (Proxmox, VMware/ESXi, Huawei/HPE etc.) Support for diverse specialist applications and special solutions Planning and implementation of maintenance work, patch management and monitoring Analysis, automation and documentation of processes and IT services Cooperation with other IT teams (DevOps, Helpdesk, Network) – including occasional support with escalated support requests Participation in IT projects (e.g. VM moderation, PKI, KRITIS compliance)

Multiannual experience as system engineer or senior system administrator Finded knowledge of Linux server administration (Debian, CentOS etc.) Solid Windows server identifiers (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group policies) detectable experience in network operation: firewalls, routing, switching, VPN gateways – you can read, debugging and structure a network Experience with Proxmox and/or VMware/ESXi and storage and backup systems Self-employed, structured working – even without complete documentation Joy of automation (Ansible, Shell/Python or the like) and knowledge transfer in the team Willingness to take responsibility and drive issues, not only to edit

desirable, but no need Cloud experience (AWS) and knowledge in IaC / Infrastructure as Code Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Azure AD Security Experience: Hardening, MFA, Roll Concepts, SOC Connection knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration PKI / Certificate Management MDM/MAM solutions (Mac and Windows clients) Experience in the regulated environment (KRITIS, TKG, ISO 27001)
