In the Mechanics Diesel & Combustion/Abgas/OBD Diesel Vans department, we as the team “Mechanik Motoren und Mandat 6-Zylinder” are responsible for the development, testing and securing of new engines, as well as the serial support of the 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines from Mercedes-Benz. In our interdisciplinary team, these include both the classic mechanics and the thermal protection of the 6-cylinder overall engine. As part of your internship, you will be able to participate in the development of new diesel engines. Your core tasks include: Supporting the planning, parts delivery and support of engine setups

Maintenance of test bench motors in continuous operation

Participation in the assessment and documentation of test benches or Continuous running motors

Coordination and initiation of component tests and parts measurements

Development and design of communication documents, reports and presentations

Planning and implementation of tests and measurements on engine and component test benches

Work, preparation and documentation of vehicle measurements

Documentation, discussion and presentation of results in working groups
