Where to pack • As a senior software developer:in Kotlin/Java you are the key to the development of our backend systems. • With Kotlin, Docker and PostgreSQL you build robust, scalable modules that form the backbone of our medical software. • Together with your team of development, design, DevOps and product management, you bring complex systems to run, rethink interfaces and keep the code quality high. • You design, develop, test and document – always with the aim of creating simple, expandable and sustainable solutions. • This position can be 100% exercised from the home office. So you don't have to live in Thuringia or the surrounding area to work with us, but you can determine when you want to work. • A part-time job is not in the way, but it would be ideal if you spend at least 32h of your time with us every week.

What you should bring • You have successfully completed a scientific study (even doctoral studies) and can be really proud of your very good result. • You have several years of experience in backend development, preferably with Kotlin (or Java), and know you with PostgreSQL and containerized architectures. • Terms such as domain drives design, API design and software architecture are not buzzwords for you, but your daily tool. • You work structured, independent and never lose sight of complex systems. • Your first experience with agentic software development (e.g. CLI-based AI programming via Claude Code / Codex) or in the area of Vibecoding can be applied practically to us. • If you are happy to take responsibility, to help shape technical concepts and to actively participate in architectural decisions, you are right here. • You like the exchange in the team, think beyond the edge of the plate and feel like making medical software really better. • In order to be able to get a grip on us, it is imperative that you master German at least on C1 level.
