Media and Information Services Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart – Knowledge (m/w/d) We are looking for the Cultural Office of the City of Stuttgart, Department of the City Library. The place is to be occupied as of 03.08.2026 and initially limited for the duration of the maternity period and the possibly subsequent parental period of an employee, initially longest until 31.08.2027. The level of knowledge is one of seven areas of the city library in Milan, which are responsible for the development, provision, presentation and mediation of the media as well as for the integrated processing, for events, guided tours and the contact work in their topics. You are responsible for information and consulting services including all digital sources Other tasks include the acquisition, accounting, cataloguing and incorporation of media, journal and newspaper administration, stock and data management, technical processing of media including Book care (including team-wide) You support the work of the editorate in various editorate areas of the level of knowledge The return sorting as well as the setting, arranging and presentation of the media also belongs to your tasks You take guided tours of all kinds, especially class tours, and help with events Support for trainees at the knowledge level completes your area of responsibility

A completed training as a specialist for media and information services or Assistant to Libraries Interest in the areas of knowledge and basic knowledge in English Service orientation, responsibility and the ability to work independently, structured Media competence and secure computer skills, interest in digital developments Joy in carrying out guided tours and cooperation at events Flexibility in working time design, readiness to regular Saturday services and late services by 7 p.m.
