Application Engineer for Project Management and Automation in Tunnelling (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team Project Management SDS and PrecastIQ we are looking for one or more Application Engineer (m/w/d) at the site Bruchsal (at Karlsruhe). SDS (Segment Documentation System) – this is our product for logistics and quality assurance. PrecastIQ is the intelligent, cloud-based further development of this. The Documentation System (SDS) segment, developed by VMT, ensures that quality and logistics processes from finished parts are documented over the entire life cycle in accordance with requirements – from production and testing, storage and transport to installation. In this role, you will take care of the planning, implementation and support of our software solution for the documentation of quality and logistics processes in finished parts. You will also be there for international project assignments on site: You take place worldwide, usually last two weeks and lead you within Europe and e.g. to America, Australia, Canada, India or Malaysia.

Projecting & Planning: You unleash automation concepts, first set up schematics and complete the PLC programming (e.g. Siemens S7, TIA portal). Start-up & assembly: You are responsible for the construction, cabling and commissioning of the components on site in cooperation with customers. Maintenance & maintenance: You perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Optimization & quality assurance: Your task is to analyze efficiency, process optimization, compiling test reports and monitoring processes. Interface function: You write the documentation, train and advise customers.

Completed study or technician: You have a degree or are a state-tested technician in the field of automation technology, technical computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering. With appropriate professional experience in project processing or system integration, a cross-entry with qualifications from other areas is also open. Basics of network technology: Ideally, you bring a basic understanding of network techniques. Solution-oriented operation: You also keep a cool head in stressful situations and find solution-oriented arguments. Language knowledge: Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing are required, further languages are a plus. Interest in new topics: You are open to cross-disciplinary topics such as data management, automation or artificial intelligence (AI). A high level of motivation, joy in travel (approximately 30–40 % of working time) and interest in other cultures characterize you. IT skills and driving licences: Finded knowledge of how to use the MS Office package, especially Excel, as well as a driving licence of class B (or 3) are necessary.
