Senior System Engineer (m/w/d)

from now on and in full time in Munich, Rheinbach, Nuremberg or Berlin.

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

Technical planning is responsible for the integration of all service changes in LAN, WAN, WLAN and Unified Communication (Voice and Video) into the existing network infrastructure of the Bundeswehr and BWI. This includes the core network as well as over 800 locations distributed throughout Germany by our customers and their own business. Our focus is on the introduction, extension and migration of the communication systems to the latest state of the art. Your profile:

• Complete subject-related studies or comparable training
• at least 3 years (study) or 6 years (training) relevant professional experience in technical planning
• Very te knowledge in LAN Enterprise Designs / Engineering as well as in LAN Passive Infrastructure
• Good knowledge of LAN technologies (switching/routeing), redundancy rates and network services
• Initiative, learning and analysis skills, team skills
• Result-, customer- and quality-oriented operation
• Organisational skills, analytical skills and communication skills

Your tasks:

• Technical planning, coordination and implementation of changes focusing on LAN/WLAN using standard designs
• Documentation of planning (hardware and logic) in the tools
• Identification of non-standard requirements and solution agreement with architecture / service management
• Encouragement and implementation of planning taking into account the interactions of the services LAN/WLAN, WAN and Unified Communication (Voice and Video)
• Determination of technical dependencies and handover to the downstream areas for consideration in implementation/realisation
• Project management in projects and coordination with the provider
• Process design and documentation as part of operational optimizations and for rollout projects
