What makes child endoscopy?

The endoscopy of children comprises diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic methods in the gastrointestinal tract in infants, children and adolescents. With instruments specially adapted to the child's anatomy, interventions are carried out gentle, safe and as pain-free as possible. The interdisciplinary team works closely with children's medicine to ensure child-friendly, empathic care. They are the first contact person for the patients and are responsible for the entire patient administration. They support diagnostic and therapeutic measures and plan appointments and investigations. In addition, you are responsible for the preparation and preparation of outpatient procedures.

For child endoscopy we are looking for a full-time (38,5 hours/week)/part-time at the next possible time:

Tasks

Your tasks:

• Preparation of endoscopy unit
• Processing and provision of the required instruments and devices in accordance with the hygiene guidelines and control of the functionality of endoscopy and accessories
• Care of small patients before, during and after surgery
• Monitoring of vital signs and support in sedation in cooperation with the medical team
• Assistance during endoscopy
• Instrument guidance and transfer
• Documentation of the investigation
• Removal and backup of samples (e.g. biopsy)
• Cleaning, disinfection and care of endoscopes according to RKI guidelines
