About us The clinic for vascular and endovascular surgery at the Klinikum am Plattewald (Stellenplan 1-1-6-7) has approx. 44 beds and 11 operating rooms/week, about 3,000 operations and vascular interventions are carried out each year. The clinic director has the full training authorization for vascular surgery (48 months) and common trunk (24 months). Our range includes all open and endovascular/ interventional procedures of vascular surgery that can be carried out without the use of HLM. Priorities are carotid surgery, aortic pathologies (>120 aortic interventions per year) including treatment of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm including EVAR, TEVAR, FEVAR, BEVAR and IBE (>80 interventions/year), peripheral bypass surgery and interventional treatment in pAVK (>600inter) Foot syndromes and chronic wounds as well as the entire spectrum of shunt surgery (certified Shuntreferenzzentrum >600 interventions/year).
