Support the department line with the perspective of taking over the line of the department Participation in department-internal/cross-departmental digitalization and automation projects including the optimization and redesign of processes and workflows taking into account legal requirements Creating bills, target-actual comparisons and deviation analyses and preparatory activities for monthly, quarterly and annual accounts Implementation of the monthly salary billing as well as processing of complex salary-relevant transactions including communication with health insurance funds, tax office and utilities Creating and maintaining accounting data, coordination of technical updates and user support within the framework of first-level support – always in compliance with data protection regulations Creating evaluations, reports and presentations for department management, management and board as well as preparing audit-relevant documents and strategic analyses

Bachelor's degree programme with a focus on finance, accounting or tax as well as a relevant additional qualification, for example as a wage and salary accountant (w/m/d) Professional experience in financial accounting or wage accounting, ideally in a tax law firm or public administration with a focus on annual accounts and pay accounting Knowledge of tax, social security, pay and supplementary pension rights as well as experience with accounting rules and financial accounting in the public sector, ideally knowledge of TV-L and BAT Safe handling of MS Office as well as experience with personal accounting software (P&I LOGA), knowledge of Power BI and digital workflow tools desirable First leadership experience and a high understanding of complex health relationships
