Financial Controller / Balance Sheet Holder (m/f/d)

Financial accounting & financial statements Support in the creation of monthly and annual accounts according to HGB in close coordination with the Regional Controller Germany Creation and documentation of balance sheet voting and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial data posting and auditing journal bookings, including delimitations and provisions Participation in monthly and annual accounts activities Operational accounting Implementation and coordination of ongoing accounting in close cooperation with Global Business Services (GBS) Care and monitoring of debitor master files and support in credit management Examination and approval of travel cost accounting in accordance with corporate policies Support for the monthly payroll process, including calculation of wage-related demarcations and intercompany personnel costs (interzonal and intrazonal) Taxes, compliance & audits Preparation and submission of local tax returns and legal notifications in consultation with external consultants and the Regional Controller Ensuring compliance with local legal, tax and sales tax requirements Support for audits through preparation of relevant documents and acquisition of defined contact person functions Cooperation & Business Support Close cooperation with the Regional Controller Germany, local finance colleagues, GBS and operational teams Participation in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls Providing reliable financial information and supporting ad hoc analyses Building and maintaining trusted working relationships with finance and operational teams

Complete studies in finance, accounting, business or comparable qualifications Practical experience in accounting / in financial accounting in the German environment Very good knowledge of HGB accounting; Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRSs is beneficial Experience in support of monthly accounts and in the preparation of votes Basic understanding of German tax and turnover tax requirements Practical experience with SAP (FI) and/or other ERP systems Very good Excel knowledge, in particular safe handling of formulas and tunes Hands-on-Mentality and willingness to take responsibility for your own topics Analytical thinking and independent working in the defined area of responsibility Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English in word and writing
