Mittendrin. Working. Together with renowned experts. We are the largest municipal hospital operator in Germany with more than 100 specialist clinics, care facilities and institutes. Design the health care of tomorrow in our vibrant capital. Come to us as Senior Consultant (m/w/d) for the clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics in the Vivantes Klinikum Am Urban for the next possible appointment. The clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics is an academic teaching hospital of Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. It includes 38 Home-Treatment-Plätze (station equivalent treatment, StäB), 64 day-clinical and 162 full-stationary as well as about 3000 outpatient treatment sites. An early intervention and therapy centre (FRITZ am Urban) was established in cooperation with the child and youth psychiatry. It offers a specialized stationary, semi-stationary, looking and outpatient psychiatric offer for young people with first psychotic episodes. In addition, the clinic is involved in an early detection centre for young people with mental crises (soulspace) in the district. The clinic conducts clinical and care research both initiating itself and partly in larger associations.

The FEEL-GOOD study starts in January 2026 at the Klinikum Am Urban and at seven other clinics in Germany. It is funded under the German Research Foundation (DFG) funding programme. The project combines leading university and large psychiatric institutions with extensive research and practical experience in psychosocial interventions and psychosis. In cooperation with the AG Preventive Psychiatry of the Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie am Campus Charité Mitte, an innovative research project with high scientific and clinical relevance is being developed. In the context of this randomized controlled study, we investigate the effectiveness of a mindful group therapy for people with acute early psychosis. A total of 252 stationary patients/patients receive a four-week group therapy with eight sessions or only regular stationary treatment in addition to standard treatment. The aim of the study is to examine how mindful interventions can reduce psychotic symptoms within six months and improve emotional regulation, acceptance and management strategies. Through the continuous integration of peers in all phases of research, we pursue a practical, participative approach that is intended to help develop the supply of young people with early psychosis. In order to support our interdisciplinary team, we are looking for a scientific assistant to carry out group therapy as well as the scientific accompaniment of the study. .
