Head of Department ''Structural Engineering Facility Management – New Buildings, Conversions and Extensions'' (m/f/d)

Around 260 employees of different technical, commercial and administrative disciplines provide for the city and its citizens the professional operation of the urban buildings, together with their technical facilities and facilities throughout their entire life cycle – from the first idea to the demolition. This means that urban building management contributes significantly to the functioning of this city: a task with meaning – oriented towards the common good and only with great commitment to the team. At the closest possible time, the Department of Civil Engineering Building Management (NUE) (E 26/60) is to occupy the position of the Head of Division (m/w/d) in full time. The NUE Department consists of the following teams with currently about 38 employees: – Project development and central expertise – Project management (new, re- and extension projects) – Project management – special project Employment is permanent.

Head of the engineering department Ensuring all engineering tasks throughout the entire life cycle of objects and projects, coordination and securing success Support of management in strategic decision-making Creating and continuously adapting basic internal rules and guidelines for the technical implementation of the work carried out in the department on the basis of analyses of practical experience Participation in the design, development and implementation of future-oriented construction and the design of new technologies (e.g. BIM, circular construction) Development of project-related procurement strategies and participation in the implementation of alternative procurement models (e.g. IPA, Lean Construction) Establishment and support of a follow-up and claim management Technical advice and production of opinions and recommendations for management, other departments and departments Participation in budget creation, annual planning and deviation analyses taking into account controlling instruments and recommendation of appropriate control measures

Successfully completed university studies in the field of architecture or civil engineering or a comparable field of study within the meaning of the task profile Alternatively, you have the career capability of the category 2, second entry office for the engineering service with the focus on civil engineering or civil engineering Insufficient professional experience in public building management Insufficient leadership experience Strategic thinking High analytical and conceptual skills Cooperative leadership style Interdisciplinary thinking and acting Above-average commitment and sense of responsibility
