Cooking coffee, copying and meeting tables is too boring for you? You want to work cross-functional, global and flexible? Are you motivated to take on responsible tasks and participate measurably in the team success? Then you are right in the Powertrain Purchasing of Daimler Truck! Global Procurement Trucks & Buses is responsible for the procurement of all parts and components for the production of our commercial vehicles. Our task is to design the cooperation between the suppliers and Daimler Truck from the development of a new product through series production to spare parts delivery. In the Global Transmission Team we carry the overall responsibility for the truck gearboxes and are specialized in the procurement and support of any gear components such as gearbox controllers, retarders and clutches. We regularly exchange with our shopping locations in Germany, India, Brazil and the USA.

These challenges include: Cooperation in project management of global new product projects and cooperation with international purchasing organisations Participation in the overall purchasing process - from the definition of the enquiry circle to the analysis and comparison of offers to the award decision Coordination of commercial and technical issues with internal partners and external suppliers Preparation, cooperation and participation in supplier negotiations and visit of project meetings within the framework of cost-saving programmes and process optimization Self-supporting change management through internal, cross-departmental cooperation with development and series management as well as external coordination with suppliers
