In order to support the newly built joint project “Lower Saxony Digital Science Support Space (DS3)” within the framework of the university.digital Lower Saxony, we are looking for a dedicated employee with proven interest in the areas of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI) and the operation of the necessary infrastructure and services. The aim of the cooperation project DS3 funded by the Land of Lower Saxony is the comprehensive expansion of research-related IT infrastructures and services at Lower Saxony universities. As one of the main sites, the LUIS will provide, operate and support the researchers in their use as part of the project. You work in a team of experienced employees both independently and jointly on the following tasks: Project management and local coordination of the DS3 joint venture at LUIS and cooperation with the participating partner institutions in Lower Saxony. Construction, configuration, administration and maintenance of the LUIS animal 3-HPC cluster and associated storage, GPU-accelerated hardware and monitoring systems. Technical support and advice from users and researchers in the efficient use of HPC resources, the deployment of AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs), Performance Engineering, and the scaling of HPC computing processes and Machine Learning Workloads. Regular training helps you develop your personal skills in a targeted manner.
