After your studies, you want to participate in exciting infrastructure projects in the Port of Hamburg? The Technical Division (TD) is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the core harbour infrastructure with around 600 employees. We have a wide range of engineering expertise and offer diverse technical and project management services. In our “Infrastructure Projects” department, you work with engineers from different disciplines on projects such as bridges, surface transformations or agricultural power plants. In doing so, you will partially accompany projects from planning through approval procedures to implementation. Through close cooperation with internal and external project participants, you get insights into challenging infrastructure projects early on and can develop your expertise in a targeted way.

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You accompany projects from the initial stages of planning, approval procedures and implementation, giving you a comprehensive insight into all phases of the project. Together with the project team, you represent the projects to internal and external stakeholders. You actively support the preparation of necessary approval procedures, in particular plan setting procedures. You will prepare tender documents and participate in the award, contract processing and settlement of planning and construction contracts. As part of the project team, you will participate in monitoring construction measures. For the coordination between users, participating companies and other units of the HPA, you ask for a smooth flow of information. You support the management of dates, costs and qualities within the projects.

You have a degree in engineering (Bachelor/FH). Ideally, you already have first experience in the planning and implementation of construction projects or construction measures. First experiences in project management are of advantage. An independent and self-sponsored way of working distinguishes you. You have a strong team and learning skills. Technical contexts can be understood. With your communication and persuasive strength, you represent technical needs securely to different stakeholders and bring together different interests in the port environment.
