Global Distribution Network Analyst (m/w/d)

Your role: As a Global Distribution Network Analyst (m/w/d), you are a key contributor to the continuous review and optimization of the global distribution network. Close cooperation with internal areas such as sales, operations and finance, as well as with external logistics and transport service providers takes place. This function actively contributes to changes and the further development of the global distribution and storage footprint - with the aim of shaping efficient and future-oriented logistics structures. Your challenge: Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the review and strategic further development of the global distribution network Responsibility for data collection and the creation of baseline models for analysis of material and financial flows Core team member in the development of logistic footprints and the identification of potential new locations for distribution centers using modern network modeling software Participation in the development of sound business cases and the assessment of the impact of planned network changes (e.g. costs, stocks) Identification of further potentials for optimising logistics costs Building and maintaining close cooperation with regional distribution teams Close cooperation with transport and distribution process managers to ensure first-class end-to-end distribution processes Control of external consulting companies in carrying out complex network simulations

Your profile: Education: Successfully completed training as a forwarding businessman/woman with ideally complementary qualification as a transport specialist (IHK) or alternatively a bachelor's degree in business, economic engineering, logistics or a related area with relevant industry experience. Experiences: At least five years of professional experience in distribution logistics Expertise: Understanding global transport and distribution processes as well as experience in international trade, including customs and preferential arrangements Secure handling of SAP (ideally including WM/EWM) and MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI Experience in data analysis, material flow management, inventory management systems and business reporting Knowledge of project management and modern end-to-end filling and storage processes

Language knowledge: flowing German and English skills are required Personality: Embossed self-motivation, structured and data-based working and the ability to work effectively both independently and in the team Analytical strength, data-driven focus and solution-oriented handling of complex problems Openness for new technologies and the willingness to learn and apply modern software solutions for network modeling Interest in current developments and trends in logistics and supply chain Joy in working in an international environment and participation in global projects Interest in market trends and willingness to learn modern network modeling software30 % worldwide
