The Medical Care Center for Laboratory Medicine and Microbiology Ruhr (mvzlm Ruhr) is a modern and future-oriented medical laboratory with more than 160 employees in the centre of Essen. As a regional laboratory association, we guarantee the full supply of more than 4,000 hospital beds at several locations in Essen and Mülheim. In addition, doctoral practices, medical care centers and other facilities in the region are among our senders. For almost 20 years, a quality management system has been established that is accredited according to DIN EN ISO 15189.

Medical staff / MFA (m/w/d) Laboratory

Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art analytical systems and offer a wide range of expertise in clinical chemistry, haematology, blood clotting, immunology, infection serology, microbiology, hospital hygiene, molecular genetics and transfusion medicine as well as patient-related diagnostics (POCT).

Description of posts

Your tasks:

• Preanalytics & sampling – Identity control, detection, labelling, centrifugation and forwarding to SOP.
• Order registration in the LIS – Creating/ allocating studies, maintaining master data and clarifying queries.
• Analytics support – Operation of selected analysis equipment, plausibility check of results and disclosure.
• Quality & hygiene – Device maintenance, calibration according to specifications, documentation, compliance with hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Material & POCT – stock management (reagents/consumer material), support of stations at POCT and short instructions.

Qualifications

You complete our team if you...

• bring a completed training as MFA.
• Team skills, flexibility and commitment.
• Work responsibly, reliably, independently and structured.
• possess technical understanding and device affinity – ideally safe in handling EDV/LIS.
• provide a basic willingness to weekend and holiday services.
