Dual study program in computer science (m/f/d)

You program and code so that our air traffic controllers* get the aircraft safely to the ground and into the air! Develop, test and wait software, stand aside in system design with advice and action, or build reliable distributed systems cloud-ready with Kubernetes, databases and networks – your job and your share of ensuring that millions of passengers get their destination safely. In your studies start with the basics of mathematics, algorithms, programming and IT security. Then it continues with linear algebra, computer architecture, project management and networks. Step by step, build your expertise in computer science and project management and develop as an expert for networks, operating and microprocess systems. This is expected You will study at the Darmstadt University for seven semesters – including three practical semesters in the IT departments of the DFS. Your study contents include, for example, computer science, mathematics (especially statistics), programming, databases, engineering and project management. In the sixth semester, you choose an individual elective module – e.g. development of web-based applications, hacker test, IT compliance, Internet networking or cryptology. The DFS operates its own system house. Valuable multi-month practice operations at the heart of air traffic are guaranteed.
