In this responsible position, you will lead the Quality Monitoring department – and thus the drinking and wastewater laboratory – and contribute significantly to ensuring our high quality standards.

You coordinate the monitoring of groundwater and drinking water quality as well as the control of the waste water inlets in our plants and networks. You will actively meet the growing challenges arising from climate change, increasing environmental influences and enhanced legal requirements. In addition, you are driving the further development of our laboratories into modern environmental laboratories to find innovative answers to the increasing demands on water and wastewater disposal. You will continue to develop the strategy in your field, guide your team in a disciplined and professional manner and ensure transparent communication and regular employee discussions. Together with the relevant departments, you are responsible for personnel planning and development and actively promote the competences of your team members You take over the management and strategic control of the drinking water and wastewater laboratory and ensure the proper conduct of sampling and analysis. In addition, you are responsible for monitoring the ongoing operation on our plants and thus ensure high quality and reliability of the analysis results You ensure the accreditation of laboratories and ensure early identification of technical and analytical developments through continuous market monitoring. You evaluate new procedures with regard to their relevance and effectiveness and control their introduction with a view to a future-oriented development of the laboratory operation You drive forward the digital development of the laboratory information management system and the systematic networking of laboratory data. In addition, initiate and control preparatory work for project-related or research-related activities and take over a central interface function by expertly consulting and informing other areas You accompany the further development of the laboratories to modern environmental laboratories, optimize operating analytics through automation and develop efficient strategies for sampling in the field of the association. In addition, ensure the necessary operational permits to the competent authorities

You have completed university studies in the field of chemistry, biology, food technology; alternatively in the field of environmental technology with an analytical focus or a comparable scientific study programme At best, you have completed your PhD in Chemistry or Biology You can present several years of professional experience in laboratory operations; ideally in the field of water and environmental analysis You have already managed teams at the technical and disciplinary level, bringing with them strong innovation competence, design strength and sound team leadership skills Your knowledge of German corresponds at least to the language level C1; you also have good English skills You bring a strong understanding of tasks and project management, convince with your presentation strength and point with your consulting skills in interdisciplinary contexts You are strong in communication, conflicting, result-oriented and have a pronounced own initiative.
