About us As an EHS Engineer (m/w/d)* at the Green Plan site, you will play a key role in the safe and sustainable development of our site. With your know-how, you can strengthen SCHOTT's safety culture, drive innovative solutions for work, health and environmental protection and actively shape the implementation of high EHS standards in a technologically demanding production environment. Your duties Strategic development and location-wide control of the areas of occupational safety, health and environmental protection Direct takeover of responsibility for environmental protection and gradual expansion of EHS management as part of a planned transfer. Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and internal EHS requirements in cooperation with relevant disciplines The establishment-wide anchoring of a sustainable security culture through the implementation of Group-wide EHS initiatives and programs. Responsibility for EHS management systems and the further development of processes, standards and digital applications based on relevant key figures Management of risk analyses, audits, desires and improvement measures to reduce safety and environmental risks. Advising executives and interfaces in all issues relating to occupational safety, health and environmental protection. Leadership, development and empowerment of the EHS team as well as promotion of cross-disciplinary cooperation. Representation of the site to the authorities, auditors and external partners as well as in cross-site EHS networks within SCHOTT to promote knowledge transfer and the further development of common standards. Your profile Completed engineering studies, ideally focusing on environmental, process or safety technology Multiannual professional experience in occupational safety and environmental protection, preferably in an industrial environment. Knowledge of relevant legal requirements for work, health and environmental protection. Experience with EHS management systems and compliance processes as well as a pronounced affinity for digital and data-based applications Embossed communication and persuasiveness as well as diplomatic skills in dealing with different stakeholders and interfaces. High self-initiative, pronounced design motivation and a structured and solution-oriented way of working. Negotiating knowledge of German and good knowledge of English for cooperation in international EHS networks and projects.
