Head of Manufacturing Engineering and Production Technology (m/f/d)

Around two thirds of your time are part of ongoing production: you analyze disruptions to machines and tools, quality deviations in the process as well as non-voice cycle times and ensure that the solutions found are in a sustainable manner. The rest of the third belongs to the new products: You evaluate the production capability, develop manufacturing processes, plan equipment and accompany pattern construction as well as transfer to a stable series. You lead the areas of process planning, production technology, prototype construction and commissioning and maintenance with engineers, technicians and technical specialists. You plan and qualify machines, devices, tools and test equipment and negotiate technical content with manufacturers and suppliers. You drive Lean and continuous improvement along with the team on the surface.

Complete technical studies, such as mechanical engineering, production technology or manufacturing technology, or a qualification as a state-tested technician with a corresponding experiential range. Multiannual experience in manufacturing engineering, in production engineering or in the industrialization of a metalworking company. Experience with forming thin-walled components and pipes as well as industrial welding and joining processes. You can independently assess process capability, devices, process parameters and quality risks. Leadership experience in a technical environment as well as the ability to guide engineers and technicians professionally without taking off their work. The willingness to dive deep into the processes in a problem. Those who are satisfied with the first explanation will not be happy here. Knowledge according to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and EN 9100 are of advantage. Experience with customer and process audits is desirable.
