Scientific cooperation in the ReFoPlan project “Great and low-emission interior products – investigations and derivation of assessment criteria for the intensity, hedonicity and amutability of odours for the further development of the Blue Angel”. The project mainly examines construction products based on natural raw materials for odour and VOC emissions. Further additional examination of floor coverings based on linoleum and rubber is to be carried out. Besides the smell, VOC measurements are also carried out. These results are intended to apply the concept of odour control values to be able to develop information about the development of the odour control concept. The tasks include: Conception and implementation of the necessary measurements Cooperation with HTW-Berlin and sampling there on site parallel to the practical odor tests Implementation of emission measurements in emission test chambers, HTW-Berlin and indoor air as well as analysis of the collected samples by thermodesorption gas chromatography (TD-GC) and HPLC Preparation of test specimens for investigations Support for scientific and administrative activities (organization of project meetings, writing of publications and reports, knowledge transfer, activities within the framework of the project objectives).

Graduate, Master or equivalent of the Department of Materials Science, Chemistry or Similar Promotion of Benefit Good knowledge of active sampling and analysis of airborne volatile organic compounds (VVOC, VOC, SVOC) by GC/MS, GC/FID with thermodesorption and HPLC High level of analytical-chemical background knowledge Instrumental analytical and craftsmanship Basic knowledge of odour thresholds Very good knowledge of the validation of measurement methods Experiences with the publication and presentation of scientific results Very good mastery of the German and English language in word and writing Good communication and information behaviour, initiative/willingness to use and - ability, willingness to decide and - ability, team capacity and willingness to cooperate as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
