90,000 Karlsruhe households are heating with natural gas, over 32,000 with district heating, which comes to over 90 percent from waste heat and power heat coupling. 190,000 electricity customers can rely on us as reliable energy suppliers. The drinking water for 400,000 people in the region is of the best quality and a healthy thirst quencher. Various heat and cold services as well as contracting and consulting are promising new business areas. Investment in renewable energies and the expansion of district heating are Karlsruhe contributions to the energy transition. You develop and implement database management and business intelligence solutions You build scalable data platforms and plead them, whether in the cloud or on-premises You will also design the company-wide data architecture, including Data Lakehouse, Streaming and Batch Processing You manage databases, storage solutions and computing resources You ensure data governance, data quality and compliance with all privacy policies You take over project management and tax external service providers and technology partners

You have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable discipline You bring multi-year experience in data analysis, data modeling or data architecture – ideally in the energy sector You have sound knowledge of database management, ETL processes and business intelligence tools You have experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and ideally in the Microsoft environment (Fabric, Azure) You understand cloud technologies, data sheets, data governance and data protection requirements You have analytical thinking, team skills and high communication skills
