The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Lausitz – Advisory, Youth and Family Centre in the South of Brandenburg is a combination of differentiated youth assistance offerings with preventive and outpatient assistance and day care facilities. At the SOS-Kinderdorf Lausitz we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (30 hours/Where) The Mother/Father-Kind-Living Group in 03149 Forest (Lausitz) is a newly created stationary offer of youth assistance for mothers and fathers with their children. Parents who need support in the care and education of their children and in their personal development are taken up. A multi-professional team supports young families to tackle the challenges of family life and to develop a sustainable perspective for an independent life. The support includes educational support, everyday practical support, the promotion of safe parent-child education and the strengthening of educational and everyday skills. The 10 seats are distributed on 5 units over 2 floors. In addition, joint activities, courses and other offers are available.

In this responsible position, you will accompany small families in different situations of life and create a stable and safe environment for children. You advise parents on education and development issues, support in challenging situations and promote a trusting parent-child relationship. The aim is to strengthen mothers and fathers in their role of parents and personal development and to prepare them for an independent, self-responsible life. Enable social networks, provide tailor-made services, control educational processes solution-oriented and work closely with relevant authorities, institutions and cooperation partners. You have a degree as an educator or a university degree as a social pedagogue Ideally experience in stationary child and youth assistance or comparable educational fields empathy for individual needs and the ability to build trusting, sustainable relationships Patience, reliability and value-awareness – even in challenging situations readiness for shift service and night readiness Regular reflection of own pedagogical action Constructive and respectful cooperation in the team and with network partners Own ideas and joy in a living, varied and participative everyday design Professional approach to proximity and distance
