Number: MER0003YCQ We're research. We develop future concepts, technologies, components and materials for Mercedes-Benz Cars. As a team “Future Materials” we explore and design the materials and surfaces of the future for the interior of our vehicles. We are looking for creative minds who want to actively shape the future of leather alternatives and textiles. We rely on innovative and sustainable solutions to develop high-quality, environmentally friendly and pioneering materials. In our interdisciplinary team you have the opportunity to shape the mobility of tomorrow with your expertise and to define the next generation of vehicle interiors. These challenges come to you: Cooperation with the project management in designing project contents and building innovations

Holistic analysis and evaluation of innovative material concepts

Implementation and assessment of material testing

Creation of presentations and decision templates

The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us. The activity can begin from 01.04.2026

Study programme in the field of materials science, textile technology, chemistry or similar subjects

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Secure handling of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

Very good communication and team skills

Strategic, independent operation

Great affinity for new technologies and current developments in the automotive industry

Valid passenger car driving class B (Germany)
