The administrative management department is divided into the sub-areas of basic financial disciplines (in particular VBwL), municipal financial management, administrative management, accounting and management and communication. The VAB is part of the training centre for administration (AZV). The AZV sees itself as a modern service provider, which offers its employees flexible working time arrangements, extensive personnel development measures and operational health management. The VAB is a public-law educational institution in the fields of education and training for all municipal administrations in Schleswig-Holstein and for regional authorities.
