The hybrid and AI-assisted search, which you are contributing to, must understand the technical language of a screw professional at a construction site in Warsaw as well as the engineering-loaded designation in the Würth catalogue - across languages, language levels and countries. Specifically, it means you: as Tech Lead Search is responsible for the professional quality and architecture of our Product Retrieval and Embedding themes based on OpenSearch. reviews and controls how our developers and developers work on search components in Python and Java, sets pragmatic standards and helps to find the right level of solution for the respective application. drives the rollout of our search solutions in a multi-language, multi-channel and multi-application environment - from strong technical prototype to productively used search, which arrives worldwide in different shops, languages and sales channels, with a clear view of when a result is ripe for the next step. develops a clear infrastructure as code strategy for our search applications (based on AWS and CloudFormation), which seamlessly integrates into the environment provided by the Platform Team, and work hands-on on central retrieval/encoding components that you bring into the productive rollout. additionally build an understanding of the operation of productive ML pipelines around our custom models (e.g. LTR and Search Understanding) and maintain synergies between search and these adjacent topics as soon as You gain importance.
