We are looking for our institute at the next time Projektmanager (m/w/d) Energy and Environmental Management We, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, are a scientific institution of the Federal Institute responsible for the testing and approval of vaccines and biomedical medicinal products and for research in the field of life sciences. Networking with national and international actors makes us a competent contact for the public, science, medicine, politics and business. Sustainability at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut is an important cross-sectional task. You actively contribute to the sustainable development of the institute and combine strategic objectives with concrete measures in everyday work. You perform a central interface function between specialist departments, executives, employees, the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and external other external stakeholders. In doing so, coordinate sustainability, develop environmental management and audit schemes (EMAS) continuously and make progress through appropriate indicators and measures visible.

Coordination and control of relevant measures of the Federal Government's action programme and further development of the internal sustainability programme Leading support and further development of the EMAS environmental management system as well as supervision of audits and validations Support for internal and external communication and documentation of EMAS-related actions and results Monitoring and continuous improvement of the Institute's environmental and sustainability performance Consultation and central point of contact for the BMG, stakeholders and internal specialist departments on issues of sustainability and energy and environmental management Coordination and further development of measures in the fields of energy, resources and waste Advice in the field of hazardous materials management Development and implementation of information and training opportunities for managers and employees to promote sustainable action

Completed university studies (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) in the fields of sustainability management, environmental management, sciences, engineering or energy and environmental technology As an alternative to natural sciences, economics or administrative sciences with a corresponding focus Knowledge of sustainability and environmental management, ideally experience in EMAS or comparable environmental management systems Experiences in project management and safe handling of agile methods and processes knowledge and experience in hazardous materials, biofuels and hazardous materials waste management are advantageous; the willingness to continue professional training is provided Safe handling of common Microsoft Office applications Ability to work quickly and independently on new topics, in particular on issues related to climate and sustainability Representative consulting, communication and coordination competence as well as a binding and professional occurrence Conflict and enforcement capability, independent, structured and self-responsible operation Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing
