Our department is responsible for the MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) platform, the central backbone for the Mercedes-wide requirements management and system engineering. This forms the basis for the development of systems and components from the specification to the test. With us you take responsibility for the development of an AI-based specification tool together with a dedicated SCRUM team and perform diverse and exciting tasks with significant influence on the entire Mercedes-Benz organization. Your tasks: Research and development: They become part of an interdisciplinary development team and work on the development and implementation of Agentic AI technologies in the field of requirements management. Here, your research results flow directly into the practical tool improvement Working in a research project: They will be part of a cross-company research project on the development of an ECS, which aims to strengthen the cooperation of people and AI in the field of Systems Engineering. Agent2Agent Communication: You explore and develop methods for efficient communication and cooperation between intelligent agents Automated pipelines: They develop highly automated pipelines for processing and analysis of requirements and specifications Evaluation of Large Language Models (LLM): They evaluate the results of major language models and contribute to the further development of the application Project work: They carry out independent tasks within the project and actively contribute to the finding of solutions. In doing so, you coordinate a student team that is actively aside you in your research Adjustment requirement is the support of the doctoral project by a university lecturer. The selection of a corresponding person is the responsibility of the doctoral student.

Course: You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a comparable field of expertise and strive for a doctorate Programming skills: You have profound knowledge in Python and ideally experience in web application development Research experience: You already have experience in research and development in the field of Artificial Intelligence, in particular in the fields of Agentic AI and Agent2Agent Communication Interest: You are passionate about software development and research and have a strong interest in AI technologies Optional: Knowledge in DeepEval, Long-Fuse and LangGraph are advantageous Personal competencies: They work independently, have an analytical way of thinking and are a team player English and German skills are available Additional information: Do you want to make your doctorate in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Group AG?
