In this responsible dual function, you play a central role in urban development and the real estate strategy of our municipality: Head of the Department of Urban Development and Building with strategic control of construction projects, urban development processes and building management Leadership of the “City Planning and Real Estates” department with the focus on area development and area activation, construction planning, construction regulations and land management Development and implementation of sustainable urban development concepts – from land use plan to quarter planning Coordination of interdisciplinary project teams and close cooperation with politics, administration and external partners Participation in regional development and international cross-border initiatives in the three countries, such as AggloBasel

In addition to the passion for urban future issues, You also bring expertise: Complete university studies in urban planning, architecture, geography, spatial and environmental planning or a comparable area Leadership experience and project-related management activities, preferably in municipal structures Funded knowledge of building and planning law and municipal property management Communication strength, negotiation skills and a good sense of political processes Innovation joy, strategic thinking and the ability to understand complex topics
