That makes this job interesting for me: As a specialist for high-voltage devices, I make a decisive contribution to the security of supply and plant availability. I work on air and gas-insulated switching systems (AIS/GIS) and introduce my know-how where it is needed – flexibly, responsibly and forward-looking. My tasks: performing maintenance, repair and diagnostic activities on high-voltage devices (e.g. circuit breakers, disconnectors, surge arresters) in AIS and GIS systems; assembly, dismantling and adjustment of these devices as part of maintenance, evaluation of measurement results, state evaluation and derivation of suitable repair measures, taking over priority tasks depending on the qualification, e.g.: concept creation for handling alternative insulating gases and/or support/further development of measuring tools and/or IT tools, Regular, multi-day journeys with overnight stays throughout the 50Hertz network are a central part of the activity.
