IT Service Manager (m/w/d)

from now on and in full time in Bonn or Berlin, alternatively nationwide at a BWI site.

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

The PoD1 Applications (App) section supports our customers and their business processes with tailor-made solutions that are oriented towards the digital transformation and mobilization of the working world. We provide all services / services of a future-oriented application management, which includes both application development and application operation. We develop applications based on standardized enterprise solutions for several thousand users, which are individually modified and adapted by us according to customer requirements (Commercial of the Shelf / Modified of the Shelf). In addition to the development services, we also purchase and maintain Commercial of the Shelf applications available on the market in the customer order, provided they meet the customer's requirements / business need. We operate and answer applications end-to-end on the Internet, Intranet and Extranet.

Your profile:

• Completed studies or comparable training in the IT field
• About 2 years of professional experience in IT service and IT project management and in the management of external service providers
• experience in operation, the further development and maintenance of highly adapted software products over the entire life cycle
• Detectable experience in the environment of web technologies, databases, application servers and IT security
• Knowledge of and experience with digital asset management systems and Atlassian Confluence as well as ITIL knowledge, certification of advantage
• Analytical thinking and good organizational capacity, decision-making and implementation strength, as well as careful and conscientious working
• German and good knowledge of English in word such as writing

Your tasks:

• End-to-end responsibility for an application across the entire lifecycle, including control and coordination of a virtual service team
• Responsibility for controlling the control operation as well as the further development and compliance with quality, service level and productivity
• Takeover of the budget responsibility for the application including financial and investment planning and implementation of risk management
• Cooperation in defining and developing the application based on customer requirements and CSI measures
• Responsibility for communication with internal and external stakeholders as well as the Requirement Management
• Support and participation in customer projects and support for awards
