The Klinikum Lippe GmbH is the carrier of the two main hospitals Detmold and Lemgo as well as a child and youth psychiatry at the Bad Salzuflen site. As part of the University Hospital of Ostwestfalen-Lippe at Bielefeld University, Klinikum Lippe provides 1,224 plan beds annually in about 30 clinics and competence centres. 100,000 outpatient and around 50,000 inpatient patients. As part of the further profiling of the Clinic for Gastroenterology and Infectiology (CEO PD Dr. med. Johannes Tebbe) at the Klinikum Lippe, we are looking for the next possible appointment for our team Senior Consultant (m/w/d) The Clinic for Gastroenterology and Infectiology serves approximately 4500 stationary patients annually as a maximum-care clinic on 85 beds. In addition to the treatment of diseases from the entire spectrum of internal medicine, a special focus is on the treatment of all gastroenterological and hepatological diseases. The clinic is part of the DKG-certified “Oncological Center Lippe” with the modules colon cancer, pancreatic carcinoma and gastric carcinoma. In addition to the oncological focus, there are clinical and scientific focuses in the fields of infectiology, neurogastroenterology, diabetics and interventional endoscopy as well as Sonography / EUS. All modern techniques such as ESD, FTRD, Cholangioscopy, RFA, PTCD, TIPSS, CLE and endoscopic hybrid techniques are regularly applied in the clinic. In the cross-sectoral treatment of patients, an MVZ “Gastroenterology”, as well as the ASV areas “Gastrointestinal tumors”, “Selt liver disease”, “Morbus Wilson” and “Chronically inflammatory intestinal diseases” can be used. Due to the cooperation of the Klinikum Lippe with the University of Bielefeld in the establishment and development of the University Medicine-OWL, we also seek to strengthen our team in clinical and scientific fields. In particular, scientific initiatives in the research areas “Neurogastroenterology” (including microbiome), “artificial intelligence” and “visceral medicine” (focus: endoscopy & robotics) are to be promoted and further developed by us. Interest and willingness to participate actively in the development of a university medicine OWL in research and teaching is therefore assumed. The chief physician has the full training authorization for internal medicine including basic training general medicine (36 months/in combination) as well as for the focus on gastroenterology (36 months) and infectiology (12 months).
