Head of IT (m/f/d)

Our IT department is the technological backbone for excellent medicine and care, university research and close cooperation with our cooperation partners. The system landscape consists of a Microsoft network with the leading hospital information system (KIS) medico from CGM. Our KIS is fully rolled out with its modules and connected to all department systems via interfaces (in the second digital radar survey our clinic is located under the top 5). As IT department manager, you will report directly to the IT and medical technology division manager. While joining the Executive Board, the Medical Board and the Nursing Directorate, the University and external cooperation partners, you support it in strategic tasks, forum work and external networking. You are the operational and technological heart of IT. Their mission is to guarantee the smooth and secure IT supply of the entire clinic through excellent processes, stable systems and motivating leadership. You are responsible for the three fields of technical support, networks / systems / safety and application and user care with nearly 40 employees. Your core tasks – Here you make the difference Operating IT operation: With your team, you are responsible for the daily management of the entire IT infrastructure (CGM medico, networks, servers, cloud) and ensure stability, availability and quick problem solutions. KRITIS Compliance & Security: You ensure the practical implementation and compliance of KRITIS requirements (B3S/NIS-2), accompany audits and strengthen our cyber defense in close coordination with the information security and data protection officers. Leadership capable of: guide, coach and develop your field manager and your team. You effectively delegate, promote a culture of service orientation and high employee satisfaction and act as a model without falling into micromanagement. Pragmatic project implementation: You control operational IT projects such as system rollouts, the integration of medical technology or the implementation of interfaces in a timely, pragmatic manner and in a predefined framework for success. Internal bridge and communication: You are the central, reliable interface between the management and your teams. Complex technical facts translate clear and addressable for interdisciplinary communication in the clinic.

You have a completed study of (medical) informatics or a comparable qualification as well as several years of experience in a leading IT function, ideally in healthcare or a critical infrastructure. Leadership with operational bite: you have demonstrable successes in managing IT teams, ideally in the hospital environment or another critical infrastructure. Their strength lies in the implementation and process management. Technological foundation: You have sound knowledge in IT infrastructure, networks, IT security (including legal framework), KIS and digital communication standards. Process and service orientation: You understand the clinical processes and consistently align your actions with the core assignment of patient care. Empathic team player: You maintain an appraisal approach, can constructively resolve differences of opinion and reach binding decisions carried out by all. You are interested in constantly developing and developing your leadership task. Clear prioritization: You understand that resources are finite and can realistically evaluate and prioritize requirements to maintain clinical care and to protect your team and the stability of the systems.
