The "Service & Application Security" area is focused on the security and privacy of distributed applications as well as secure cloud and container infrastructures. We develop procedures for static and dynamic code analysis, innovative concepts for exchanging company data and find vulnerabilities on behalf of our industrial partners. The research area consists of three areas: »Applied Privacy Technologies«, »Secure Data Ecosystems« and »Application Security Testing«. We are looking for new employees for Application Security Testing: This research field deals with static and dynamic program analysis methods. The aim is to automatically identify vulnerabilities and check compliance requirements for a software artifact.

• This includes, for example, the development, improvement or adaptation of existing or new methods and tools for program analysis. The developed tools and methods are adapted to various applications.

• This can include the analysis of monolithic programs, but also distributed applications such as cloud services that include analysis of binary files or mobile apps.

• Together with your future colleagues, you help improve our open source tools.

• Enthusiasm and infinite research urge in your field, which you have supported with a completed study of computer science or related sciences, ideally with a focus on IT security.

• Through scientific research or professional activity you have first practical experience in the fields of IT security or program analysis, e.g. binary analysis, source code analysis, theoretical analysis methods and formal methods used therein or the development of safe software.

• Your profile will be rounded off by combining programming experience (e.g. in Kotlin, C/C++, Go, ...) with a dedicated and independent way of working.

• A strong team skills and secure German (min. level B2) and English in word and writing will make you quickly a valuable team member with us. Especially your joy of experimentation and your interest in the research and practical implementation of innovative technologies will help you with your future colleagues.
