Key job responsibilities

• Leadership and development of a team of Area Manager:inside
• shift management of operating teams, handling of problems and promotion of location performance
• Analysis of the shifts according to company specifications and implementation of measures to improve our operational excellence
• Close cooperation with other support teams, including HR, finance, occupational safety and security
• design and implementation of initiatives at all locations to improve operational performance

A day in the life You take the layer line at one of our operating locations. You also act as the main interface between several different teams, including the financial, security and operational integration teams. This means that you test the daily operations at your location directly and at the same time contribute to new innovation opportunities. A typical working day includes meetings with different business areas, in-depth investigations of performance and risk indicators for locations and forecasts for preparation for different demand volumes. You also offer mentoring and coaching to your team every day. As a leader, you support your team members to fully develop their management potential.

Basic qualifications

• Degree of study
• Leadership experience and experience in stakeholder management
• Advanced English and German knowledge in word and writing
• Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to justify business decisions
• Relevant experience in production and supply chain areas Preferred qualifications
• Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma and Kaizen methods
• Experience in a similar logistics environment
• Experience in working with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

The CF team members ensure that our customers receive their orders at the speed we are known for. We work in filling centers that form the heart of Amazon's dynamic operating network. Our full-filment centers are sometimes also referred to as the “first mile” (First Mile) – here most Amazon packages start their shipping route. We support the management of a dynamic stock and enable quick delivery around the clock.

A wide range of staff groups are employed in our filling centres. There are numerous possibilities for people with a variety of skills. Some of us work with physical products. Others analyse data and help make smart decisions across the company. .
