Senior AI Engineer – Agentic Engineering (m/f/d)

As a senior AI engineer, you are part of our innovation engine: With modern AI technologies, you develop the next features and use cases for our AI chatbot “theo”, from agentic workflows to RAG to new AI integrations into other radio products. Agentic Engineering is for both of us: intelligently constructing AI systems and developing AI itself faster and better. Development of new features and AI-assisted use cases for our internal AI chatbot “theo” and future AI integrations into other products Further development and optimization of our RAG solution (including via Azure AI Search) Connection of new AI services and integration of existing legacy systems via available interfaces Development of predictable, high-quality solutions (including agentic workflows) within our established, clearly structured architecture Evaluation and integration of new AI technologies and services Optimizing performance and scalability of our AI applications Ensuring security and compliance standards Technical advice of Product Owner and Stakeholders

Successfully completed studies (e.g. computer science, business informatics, mathematics or comparable) At least 6 years of professional experience as a senior software engineer with several years of experience in the AI environment, ideally in the financial or insurance industry Safer, verifiable successful handling of AI coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex), combined with the ability to critically question and classify AI-generated code Practical experience with Agentic Engineering and Harness Engineering Senior level in Python with modern tech stack (async/await, Type Hints, pydantic, uv); Frontend Basic knowledge (ideally React) of advantage Practical experience with scalable software architectures (Onion / Clean / Hexagonal) with DDD cover Found experience in the development of GenAI applications (RAG, Tool Calling, Context Engineering, MCP, Knowledge Graphene) and with LangGraph or a comparable agent framework Experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms Experience in API Design (REST) and with relational databases (PostgreSQL or comparable) and vector databases Strong communication skills in dealing with technical stakeholders; German and English
