In the tool construction of the BodyTEC of the Mercedes-Benz plant Sindelfingen, forming tools for the production of body parts such as side walls, doors, hoods, fenders etc. are developed and manufactured. As a rule, the large tools used are subdivided into a drawing operation, which forms a circuit board, and subsequent operations, which precipitate the component and, if necessary, re-form, edge or calibrate it. In the tool installation, the assembly of the large tools as well as the optimization of the tools with respect to dimensional accuracy and surfaces up to series maturity takes place. These challenges include: Working in the technical office of the tool installation for side wall, fender and engine hood tools at the site in Sindelfingen

Development of applications based on low-code

Analysis of project-related workshop activities

Visualization of workshop activities with prioritization and planning into the process chain

Development of a planning tool for project-related tasks

Support of the operational engineers in the execution of the individual series projects with the acquisition and visualization of the project status, scheduling for optimizations, etc.

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Course in Mechanical Engineering, Production and Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science or a comparable degree course

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
