Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Senior Engineer (m/w/d) from now and in full time in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Ulm, Berlin, Bonn or Leipzig. In our team we design and develop professionally effective software products for Germany using modern technologies and methodology. Responsibility for architecture, implementation and operation of a modern software development platform based on Kubernetes and cloud-native principles

Monitoring, Troubleshooting and continuous optimization of the container-based platform during operation

Support and migration of existing software development platforms in different security domains

Safeguarding the platform according to IT basic protection and creating and maintaining information security concepts

Working in agile, virtual teams across multiple locations

Complete computer science studies or comparable training

At least five years of relevant professional experience in the DevOps environment

Very good knowledge of the automation with Ansible and the administration of Linux server systems

Experience gained in handling Kubernetes and Container Technologies

Practice in the use of common CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab, GitLab-CI, SonarQube, Nexus, Harbor) as well as in the creation and maintenance of build pipelines

Knowledge in script languages such as Python or Ruby as well as in dealing with shells such as Bash or PowerShell

Structured, careful and self-responsible operation

Representative team and communication skills as well as organizational talent

Analytical thinkability and decision-making

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
