The IT department currently comprises 35 employees:inside and is part of the Internal Administration department. The IT department is responsible for providing a functioning, stable and fail-safe IT infrastructure to the employees of the municipal administration, the wastewater, Grün & Lüneburger Service GmbH, the theatre and the VHS. The area also covers many exciting topics and projects in the field of IT. Responsibility for the strategic development of IT as well as the continuous increase in IT operational reliability Ensuring a demand-oriented and efficient provision of software solutions and server services for employees Considering the specific requirements of a local environment in all IT-related issues Conception and implementation of projects to optimize operational IT operations and to develop products and services Representation of the property and IT to the city administration and to the three connected customers in the context of projects and ongoing operations Technical and organisational management of a team of currently 11 employees Administration and operation of central specialist procedures and systems, in particular Microsoft SQL Server Cluster, Infoma, Allris and the document management system
