KAI is an independent association of municipalities from the federal states of Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein with no intention of winning the task of managing digitalization and IT operations. The management is performed by the Hanseatic City of Buxtehude. The KAI currently includes 37 cities and municipalities. The aim of the KAI is to initiate and coordinate knowledge transfer and inter-communal cooperation between member municipalities in the areas of administrative digitalisation and IT operations. 1. Development of IuK concepts You contribute to the development of strategic information and communication technology concepts that support the future orientation of KAI to improve inter-communal cooperation in the IT sector and digitization.
2. Project and Communication Coordination You coordinate the initiation and further development of projects dealing with administrative digitization and the IT operation of the member municipalities and act as a link between municipalities, IT service providers and internal bodies.
3. Demand design and demand concentration You are actively involved in consolidating demand for inter-communal procurement and implementation of information and communication technology to optimize procurement costs and facilitate technical implementation across municipalities.
4. Marketing and Building-Supporting Activities You support the marketing and construction of new IT offerings and

5. Presentation and dissemination of results You regularly present results of concepts, projects and coordination measures to member municipalities, IT service providers and internal bodies to promote exchange and strengthen cooperation.
6. Support for intercommunal procurement You support the bundling of procurement enquiries so that municipalities use joint offers and facilitate the implementation of information and communication technology.

Complete computer science training or similar vocational training with appropriate training (optional IT-studium). Several years of professional experience in IT business and digitization work. You have well-founded IuK knowledge and experience in implementing IT project solutions. This will help you coordinate actions in intercommunal cooperation. You can communicate well with other people, conduct conversations and establish contacts – thereby acting as a link between municipalities, IT service providers and internal bodies. You work in a team-oriented manner, are independent and aim-oriented, and together with colleagues are committed to implementing common goals.
