Head of Accounting in German Manufacturing SMEs (m/f/d)

Our client is a medium-sized group of companies in the metalworking industry with two locations in Germany (a turnover of approximately EUR 40 million). The products produced by our clients in small and medium batch sizes are used in areas where uncompromising quality is required. The company is established with renowned customers and has a secure market position with further growth ambitions.

At the closest possible time, we are looking for a motivated head of accounting (m/w/d) for the professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of 4 people. In your role, you are responsible for managing accounting and controlling the largest company in the group. In addition, it is possible to assume parallel also the commercial responsibility for the other units and possibly for the holding company. In doing so, you work with yourself, understand yourself as an interface within the company and are interested in developing “your” area.

We are looking for both candidates:inside with proven experience in accounting / accounting. Candidates:insides, who already have leadership experience, are as happy as candidates:insides, who want to wrap themselves into their first leadership role. Certain incorporation and transfer are ensured.

Head of financial and accounting of the Group of Companies and, where appropriate, the Holding Responsibility for accounting incl. Plant and wage accounting Create balance sheets and monthly and annual accounts according to HGB Responsibility for liquidity management as well as forecast for balance sheets, GuV and cash flow accounting Support for analyses and evaluations Expansion and further development of the controlling Implementation of sales tax forecasts Professional and disciplinary team management of 4 people at two locations

Successful completion of an economic study, e.g. in the field of finance, business management or the like; alternatively successfully completed commercial training Ideally successfully completed further education on the account holder (m/w/d); alternatively relevant professional experience in accounting according to HGB experience in commercial work in a manufacturing company; alternative experience on the part of tax advice or audit First leadership experience of advantage, but no need Entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to design, hands-on mentality with a pronounced solution competence Excellent German knowledge and good English skills
